Legal context and requirements
From 1 August 2013, a revised advertising law introduced stricter responsibility for signs installed without permits from municipalities and other authorities.
All installed outdoor advertising requires a municipal permit — it must be approved with the authorities before installation.
Lithuanian law requires signage text in standard Lithuanian, except in certain pre-approved cases. We provide full service from project preparation to final approval.
The approval file must include these documents
- Certificate of buildings and rights registered in the Real Property Register
- Protocol of public discussion of apartment owners in a multi-unit building
- Permission from the building management organisation (association)
- Written consent of co-owners of the building or plot
- Certified copy of company registration certificate or business licence
- Trademark or logo registration certificate, if registered (copy)
- Mounting drawing on a site plan and underground utilities topographic plan
- Equipment projections and sketches
- Visualisation with the structure integrated into the environment
To obtain an outdoor advertising installation permit, the client must provide our company with these documents
- Company registration certificate
- Certificate of buildings registered in the Real Property Register (owner list for the specified address). You can order online at http://www.registrucentras.lt/epas/darbasForm.do?tipas=9 (note in comments — "owner list required for the specified address")
- Logo registration certificate
- Authorisation for our company to coordinate the outdoor advertising project with the city municipality
- If premises are rented — owner consent on the advertising project and a copy of the lease agreement (amounts may be concealed)
- Consent of 51% of building co-owners or consent of the association chairperson
